Expectations 03:22
You'll never be scared by a broken Jack-in-the-box You'll always be late sitting in a room filled with clocks You built it all on your friends with hopes they'll give you something to take away, But why'd you build it on them when they're just like you, cracked and frayed? [Chorus] Who do you expect to come through? Never lay up treasures you think might fade or rust 'Cause in the end there's nothing in your hand but dust You'll never be scared by a broken Jack-in-the-box You'll always be late sitting in a room filled with clocks Never lay up treasures you think might fade or rust 'Cause in the end there's nothing in your hand but dust In the end there's nothing in your hand but dust In the end there's nothing in your hand but dust

October 04:19
Yes and no Fast and slow I wanna stay, but I wanna go [Chorus] October, please bleed your color to cover my black and white world October, I'm waiting for your breeze to cool my summer-burned heart October it is You're my only wish And even though we've never touched, you're still my first kiss October it is Please brush the sand from my cold heart And would you fill my role? I can't even play my own part But if my summer-burn won't heal And my black-and-white stays still Oh, if my summer-burn won't heal And my black-and-white stays still, oh, October Yes and no Fast and slow I wanna stay But I'm gonna go

I can reach out and hold your hand So thank you for not turning me down You can pretend that you give a care It's like you're listening without even being here [Chorus] But I can only reach so far I can only reach so far I can only reach so far without falling, without falling down I could fall down And you would never know But would you look through the crowd To find out I'm alone? If I were to stop trying, would there be anything? If I were to stop trying, would there be anything at all? (Repeat) Would it be better for me to build a wall so you don't have to watch me fall? So if you reach out to hold my hand I promise you I won't be around

No sense in the pain But no pain, no gain It's not like I'm losing a game More like a derailed train But I can't get back on track No, I can't get back on track If you don't pick me up

Tornado 03:29
I am tired of the same old thing I'm believing the same old lies And I am sick of the same sad song This perfect life that I built on my own: a Lego world built to fall all along I don't have much longer until I fall apart I've built these pretty places like a card house built of aces I don't have much longer until I'll hit restart If you don't wreck my heartland, stomp my castle made of sand Then all these pretty places And the card house build of aces I'll build my life on them again, and they'll fall in and crush my misplaced trust [Chorus 1] Send me a tornado It's time to turn the table Send me a tornado It's time to turn the table 'Cause I built my life on a weak foundation And I've banked it all on my own damnation Please send a tornado to wreck my perfect life Flash floods, mudslides Send me down an F-5 Tear up the facade of lies That's letting stress thrive 'Cause I need a set fresh of eyes, Something I can work with A new set of tools So I can rebuild with purpose I've had about enough of this It's destruction for productiveness Huffin', puffin' over nothingness Because I trusted in my bluff again And it's hard to build a house out of cards Throw them all in, the foundations falls in 'Cause I've seen castles wash away And tomorrows have been lost today There's plenty more I've gotta say Stuck inside and locked away Where every building block will break And everything is not OK 'Cause I had a friend lost in waves And the accident was not a mistake Typhoons, monsoons Let the storm be gone soon And send me a tornado 'Cause God always follows with a rainbow [Chorus 2] Send me a tornado It's time to turn the table Send me a tornado (Break it down, shake the ground) It's time to turn the table (Let's rebuild the whole town) Send me a tornado (Break it down, shake the ground) It's time to turn the table (Let's rebuild the whole town) So I'll build my life on the Strong Foundation 'Cause I finally found you're my sole salvation

Psalm 16 03:33
Preserve me, O God For in you I take refuge You are my Lord I have no good apart from you No good apart from you [Chorus] For my joy is in your presence And there my heart is glad And my whole being rejoices I have no good apart from you No good apart from you

about

This album is the story of my experiences during the last two years of college. As life came, I wrote songs about what I was thinking and feeling. Now, looking back on the songs that I wrote, I see a story emerge, a story that God authored. I encourage you to read the information about each song before you listen and to listen to the album as a whole. In the end, it tells a story of God's merciful patience with me.
